Further to the previous visit on 26 April 2013, a 5-member delegation from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom paid a follow-up visit to the School of Biomedical Sciences on 3 and 4 June 2013. On the first day, the delegates participated in the “Joint Southampton University and CUHK School of Biomedical Sciences Seminar on Stem Cell and Developmental Biology” in which they were invited to give talks on various topics relating to stem cell and developmental biology (see details HERE). Members of our Stem Cell and Regeneration Program also presented their related work during the seminar. On the second day, the visitors were arranged to have one-to-one-meetings with the members of the Stem Cell and Regeneration Program, followed by a round table group meeting to discuss in detail the agreed areas of collaboration, the possibility of joint grant applications and students exchange between the two parties.
