Led by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), a delegation comprising Prof. Wan Chao, Associate Professor, Prof. Jiang Xiaohua, Assistant Professor and Prof. Kok Hon-lung, Research Assistant Professor, as well as 19 postgraduate students and research staff of the School, participated in the “Guangdong – Hong Kong Postgraduate Research Exchange and Symposium on Regenerative Medicine 2015” at Jinan University, Guangzhou, China on 15 and 16 December 2015.
The two-day event was organized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Key Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine, with the support of the MoE Ten Thousand Student Interflow Programme 2015, Jinan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. This event offered our postgraduate students a valuable opportunity to have academic exchange with the students of Jinan University in various fields of regenerative medicine.
During the Symposium, our students participated in poster presentations session and gave oral presentations on their research topics to compete for prizes with the students of Jinan University. With their exceptional performance, four SBS postgraduate students won oral presentation prizes and one student was awarded a prize of poster presentation.
