The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) members, including Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Prof. Chan Wai Yee, Prof. Woody W.Y. Chan, Prof. Zhao Hui, Prof. Stephen Dalton, Prof. Jacque P.K. Ip, Prof. Linda Gu Shen and Prof. Wang Wuming, participated in the Advanced Symposium on Mechanisms and Animal Models of Human Diseases, organized by the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 5 to 7 September 2025, in Kunming, China.
Prof. Dennis Y.M. Lo, Vice-Chancellor and President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director, SBS, delivered keynote speeches and shared their advanced research findings. Prof. Linda Gu Shen, Prof. Jacque P.K. Ip, and Prof. Wang Wuming also delivered talks at the talent presentation session.
On the other hand, our PhD students actively participated in the Symposium and competed for prizes in the oral and poster presentation sessions. With their exceptional performance, three of our students won prizes for their oral presentations, while five of them won prizes in the poster presentation sessions.
