Prof. David Adelson, Head of the School of Molecular and Biomedical Science from the University of Adelaide, Australia, visited the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) on 25 June 2013.

Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences and Prof. Stephen K.W. Tsui warmly welcomed our guest. During a short meeting, Prof. Adelson was briefed on the latest development of SBS, particularly in the areas of genomics and bioinformatics. On the other hand, Prof. Adelson shared the planned program on bioinformatics in University of Adelaide and explored the collaborative opportunities in such areas. After the meeting, Prof. Adelson was guided to tour the School’s major facilities at the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.

The visit has assisted our School in extending further our academic network with the academia in Australia.
