Same as previous years, a laboratory safety course was organized by the University Laboratory Safety Office on 5 July 2016 for our School’s summer students and research interns who would need to carry out research activities in our laboratories. This prerequisite course was conducted in English, and aimed at introducing the participants the detailed and up-to-date laboratory safety procedures and regulations before they could start conducting experiments in the laboratories.
Laboratory safety training is a fundamental and essential element in safety management. By offering prerequisite safety courses to our students as well as technical and research staff on a regular basis, we hope they will be fully aware of the importance of laboratory safety, thus facilitating strict enforcement of the relevant procedures and regulations.
