Dr. Lian Wei obtained his Ph.D. degree from the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) in 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Lin Ge. During his research life in SBS, he received systematic training and studied pulmonary toxicity induced by pyrrolizidine alkaloids.

After graduation, Dr. Lian joined Sichuan Kelun-Biotech Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in Chengdu, China, as a toxicologist and a project manager. He mainly engages in pharmacology studies and project management on biological products. Dr. Lian and his team have got four Investigational New Drug (IND) approvals from U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or Chinese Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE). All those new biologics have been advanced to clinical trials.

The rich knowledge and systematic training that Dr. Lian gained in SBS have laid down a solid foundation for him to further pursue his career in biopharmaceutical fields. His working experience in the School has also well-equipped him with sound ability to manage and undertake challenging tasks. He will continue to devote himself to this chosen field of profession to contribute more to the pharmaceutical development of China.
