School of Biomedical Sciences Postgraduate Research Day

With the concerted effort of the Organizing Committee of the SBS Postgraduate Research Day and the Graduate Education Office, the School of Biomedical Sciences Postgraduate Research Day 2013 was successfully held on 7th and 8th November 2013. This annual flagship event continues to serve as a platform for our postgraduate students to interact with and learn from their peers and supervisors for four years in a row.

This year, more than 160 participants including our postgraduate students, teaching and research staff and non-SBS members joined this event. A total of 66 posters covering topics of the five Thematic Research Programs were displayed on the first day of the event. The authors of the best 10 posters were invited to give an oral presentation on their project on the second day to compete for various prizes. Meanwhile, we were honored to have invited Prof. Jing Naihe, Party Secretary and Executive Deputy Director, Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Science, to share his research experience with the participants on the first day.
