The SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2024 was successfully held over two days, on 11 – 12 November 2024 at Hong Kong Science Park. The event was well-attended, with over 200 participants, A total of 84 abstracts and poster presentations were received, surpassing previous years’ numbers. The abstracts were categorized as follows:
- Cancer Biology and Experimental Therapeutics: 25 presentations
- Developmental and Regenerative Biology: 38 presentations
- Neural, Vascular, and Metabolic Biology: 21 presentations
We were honoured to have the Kunming Institute of Zoology and Peking University join us this year. Each institution was represented by six students who presented their research, and one professor who delivered a keynote speech. Additionally, Professor Barbara Chan from the SBS also gave a keynote speech, enriching the event with her insights.
A total of 24 professors generously volunteered their time to serve as judges for both the poster and oral presentations.

Overall, the SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2024 was a resounding success, showcasing the outstanding research being conducted and fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.
