2025 Hong Kong Symposium on Cell and Gene Therapy
9 Jun 2025
Details:

The School of Biomedical Sciences of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (SBS), the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Health (CRMH), and the Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (iTERM) co-organized the 2025 Hong Kong Symposium on Cell and Gene Therapy: Bridging Research and Therapeutic Breakthroughs on 9-10 June 2025 at Hong Kong Science Park.

This two-day international symposium brought together more than 20 leading scientists and clinicians from Hong Kong, Mainland China, the UK, the US, Australia, and Singapore to share their latest research and clinical advancements in cell and gene therapy. The comprehensive program featured scientific presentations across diverse areas including genome editing, stem cell therapy, CAR-T cell therapy, and regenerative medicine, with particular emphasis on translational research. Several speakers provided valuable insights into the development and operation of GMP-certified facilities for advanced therapy products (ATPs) manufacturing, underscoring the expanding infrastructure for clinical translation in Hong Kong and the region.
The symposium served as an important platform for academic exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration, advancing the development of innovative therapies for unmet medical needs. The organizers extend their sincere gratitude to all speakers, participants, and supporting institutions for contributing to the success of this event.

Looking ahead, the organizers aim to build on this year’s success by hosting future symposia that further accelerate the translation of cell and gene therapies into clinical practice. The strong partnerships formed and knowledge shared at this event will continue to drive progress in the field.
