On 11 April 2026, Prof. Alfred S.L. Cheng and Prof. Carol M. Tong of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) participated in a crash course organized by the Hong Kong Association of Clinicians in Training (HKACT).
A hands-on workshop on molecular biology skills was led by Prof. Carol M. Tong, while Prof. Alfred S.L. Cheng shared his research journey in biomedical sciences, offering valuable insights and motivation to the budding clinicians in attendance. This event aimed to support future clinicians — from preclinical students to housemen — in exploring and developing their potential and personalized career paths, with students gaining hands-on laboratory experience in key molecular biology techniques.
