The BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme Team participated in / organized the following activities between September to December 2025:
- Get-together Session on 10 September 2025: A sharing session was delivered by Dr. Ann S.N. Lau for BMS Year 2 and above students which allow them to get an understanding of specific course requirements to facilitate their academic planning and declaration of concentration areas.
- Post-internship Lounge on 3 October 2025: This event provides a platform for students to discuss their changing perceptions of the biomedical industry before and after completing their internships. The audience learned about current internship opportunities and the experiences of our students. We were honored to have Mr Jerry Cheung from BioMed Technology Holdings Limited, Ms. Connie Shih from Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Dr. Gina Jiang and Dr. Wong Chung Kai from Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology Limited as our parters. Dr. Ann S.N. Lau, Dr. Josephine W.S. Lau, Dr. Julia Rosa Macedo, Dr. Po H.M. Yeung, and Dr. Zhou Yuhuan served as judges for the presentations.
After the opening remarks, 12 final year students presented their sharing to the judges followed by a Q&A session. At the end of the presentation, Ms Connie Shih has shared perspectives on emerging trends and career paths in biomedical fields and Dr Ann S.N. Lau shared the comments with the students in the closing remarks. All students have demonstrated their understanding of the current market through their high-quality presentations.

Lau. CUHK and the University of Manchester (UoM) are strategic partners and have established a collaborative agreement to promote student exchange between the two institutions, including: 1) Undergraduate Student Exchange Programme and 2) BSc-MSc Study Option which allows CUHK students of the BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme to consider completing an undergraduate degree at CUHK and a master’s degree at UoM in four years.
