Jointly organized by the School of Biomedical Sciences and the Biomedical Engineering Programme, Faculty of Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), a mini-symposium entitled “Mechanobiology in Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine” was successfully held on 16 August 2016 at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building, CUHK.
Experts in Biomedical Engineering including Prof. Robert M. Nerem from Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S.A., and Prof. X. Edward Guo, Prof. Christopher R. Jacobs, Prof. Helen H. Lu and Prof. Lance C. Lam from Columbia University, U.S.A. were invited to the symposium and shared with our School members their research experiences and latest findings, as well as the trends and insights on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
This mini-symposium has provided an ideal platform where our School members and students can learn from the experts their research experiences in biomedical engineering, and exchange research ideas with other researchers of the field, hence building up research networks for future collaboration.
