In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), the Alumni Homecoming Day was held on 30 May 2026 at G/F, Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.
Six SBS alumni returned to share their career journeys since graduation: Prof. Ruan Jianqing (Soochow University), Dr. Wayne L.H. Ho (AstraZeneca), Dr. Thomas T.H. Chan (Nature Communications), Dr. Walfred Tang (Insmed Innovation UK), Dr. Otto K.W. Cheung (EQT Partners), and Dr. Shu Yinglan (HSBC Qianhai Securities). Each speaker offered practical insights into how scientific training can translate into careers beyond the laboratory.
The event sparked enthusiastic responses and lively interaction, with students and audience members reflecting that they gained valuable takeaways from the speakers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our alumni speakers for their generous time and inspiring contributions.
