The SBS 15th Anniversary Research Day 2026 by CUHK School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) took place successfully on 29 May 2026 at LT2, Yasumoto International Academic Park. The event drew an impressive turnout of over 300 participants from CUHK and other academic institutions.
Prof. Philip W.Y. Chiu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Professor and Director of SBS, officiated at the opening ceremony. The symposium comprised four sessions featuring a diverse lineup of speakers, including six guest speakers from the Kunming Institute of Zoology (Chinese Academy of Sciences), Zhejiang University, Peking University, the University of Michigan, Monash University, and the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health. We were also delighted to welcome six alumni speakers from Harvard Medical School, Nanyang Technological University, Rutgers University, Northwest Normal University, Guangzhou Medical University, and the University of Oslo (Norway). These speakers shared their latest research findings, sparking lively discussions and opening doors for future collaboration.
As a key platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, the Research Day brought together experts from diverse fields to explore emerging advancements in biomedical sciences, fostering new connections and innovative ideas. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their enthusiastic participation, which contributed greatly to the event’s success.
