The SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2025 has concluded successfully on 10 – 11 November 2025 at Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. As one of the annual flagship events at SBS, it serves not only to foster academic exchange among research postgraduate students but also to showcase the talent of our future leaders in Biomedical Sciences.
We were honoured to have Prof. Dennis Lo, the Vice-Chancellor of the Chinee University of Hong Kong, and Prof. Andrew M. Chan, the Director of SBS to officiate the opening of the event. Three delegation teams from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Kunming Institute of Zoology and Peking University were invited to participate in the poster and oral presentations. Each institution was represented by six to eight students showcasing their research. On the first day of the event, 90 posters were displayed. The authors of the top eight posters were invited to give an oral presentation on their projects on the second day to compete for various prizes.
Additionally, we extend our deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors and also to the Postgraduate Student Association (PSA), the organizing committee, and professors who served as the judges. Another highlight of the event included was the exceptional contributions and insights from our keynote speakers, as well as the impressive poster and oral presentations by postgraduate students, which fully demonstrated the originality and academic value of their research.
