To celebrate the official start of the new academic year, the BSc Programme Team of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) hosted its annual Welcome cum Back-to-School Party for undergraduate Biomedical Sciences students on 1 September 2025. The event brought together around 140 students and members of the School’s academic staff.
Following opening remarks by Miss Lee King Yi Mavis and Mr. Albertus Pandhito Bintang, both Year 2 students in the BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme, Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS, delivered a warm welcome address. New students were then presented with welcome gifts from their Academic Mentors (AMs) and Personal Development Mentors (PDMs).
The programme concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Ann S. N. Lau. The gathering also provided freshmen with a valuable opportunity to meet their AMs and PDMs, fostering early connections and encouraging engagement within the SBS community.
We extend a heartfelt welcome to all new members of SBS and wish everyone a rewarding and successful academic year ahead.
