Led by members of the School of Biomedical Sciences, two research proposals have been selected for the Research Grants Council (RGC) Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) 2024-25.
Prof. Ke Ya, Professor of our School, was awarded the Collaborative Research Project Grant (CRPG) with a total of HK$6 million for the project named ” Brain mechanism underlying experience-induced modulation in social decision-making “. In addition, Prof. Jacque P.K. Ip, Assistant Professor of our school received the Young Collaborative Research Grant (YCRG). He was awarded a total of HK$4.49 million for the project entitled “Base Editing as an Intervention Strategy for Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Investigating Pathophysiological Mechanisms and Therapeutic Applications”.
The Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) supports multi-investigator and multidisciplinary research groups in the University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded universities. It encourages more research groups to engage in creative, high-quality, cross-disciplinary projects. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Prof. Ke and Prof. Ip for their remarkable achievement in securing the CRF. This recognition reflects their unwavering dedication and commitment to research.
