The School of Biomedical Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (SBS-CUHK) and the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (SH-MU), Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2 May 2023.
Prof. Stephen Dalton, Professor/Global STEM Scholar of SBS-CUHK, and Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University signed the MoU on-site at Siriraj Hospital, as witnessed by other representatives from Siriraj Hospital including Assoc.Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc.Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation, et al, as well as representatives from SBS-CUHK including Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS; Prof. Stephen Tsui, Associate Director (Research), et al.
This partnership was forged by Prof. Stephen Dalton of SBS and Prof. Siwanon Jirawatnotai of SH-MU for establishing a Joint International Research Programme on Stem Cell in Cancer Therapy, which aims to advance the research collaboration and promote academic and educational exchange between the two institutes.
