Following the previous visit in March 2024, a delegation from the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), led by Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS, visited the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou on 7 January 2025. The delegation included SBS members Prof. Stephen K.W. Tsui, Prof. Zhao Hui, Prof. Vincent C.K. Cheung, Prof. Tian Xiaoyu, Prof. Feng Bo, and Prof. Carol M. Tong.
During the visit, Prof. Andrew M. Chan and Prof. Rong Limin, President of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions. This agreement aims to foster advancements in medical education and clinical research.
The delegation also participated in a symposium where SBS members showcased their cutting-edge research on topics including microbiomes, stroke rehabilitation, and liver disease. These presentations facilitated in-depth academic discussions and provided valuable exchange opportunities for scholars from both institutions.
