Prof. Ichiro Sakata, representative of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University, Japan visited School of Biomedical Sciences on 17 March 2015.

This is the first time that representative of Saitama University visited our School. The guest was warmly welcomed by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of our School and Prof. John A. Rudd, Managing Director of our School’s Animal Holding Core. After a short meeting, Prof. Sakata was guided to tour the Core Laboratories and the animal holding facilities at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.

Following the visit, both parties have initiated the process of developing a collaborative agreement in the hope of facilitating more academic collaborations as well as exchange of research staff and students between the two institutions in the future.
