- Programme Exploration Day for JUPAS Applicants on 15 May 2019: This is an annual event organized by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Around 35 JUPAS applicants who had selected the BSc Programme in their applications were arranged to attend admission talk, laboratory tour led by student ambassadors and a hands-on workshop at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building (LIBSB).

- Media Interview on 26 June 2019: With the coordination of Communications and Public Relations Office, CUHK, three Year 4 undergraduate students, Mr. James C.H. Shiah, Miss Jessie T.S. Wing and Miss Victoria C.L. Yung received interview conducted by several press media institutions. The featured stories were released on Ming Pao, Sing Tao Daily, Hong Kong Economic Times, Sky Post and HK01 on 5 July 2019. Through broader media coverage, we wish to deepen public’s understanding in the diverse prospects of studying Biomedical Sciences and our unique curriculum design for equipping students to meet the industry demand.

- Academic Counselling Session for New Full-time Undergraduate Students on 9 August 2019: Newly admitted undergraduate students attended the counselling session arranged by the BSc Programme Team. Course selection, exemption issues and other related information were introduced. Sharing and breakout sessions were also arranged to enable the new and current students to mingle with each other.

- BBQ Night at Orientation Camp for Freshmen on 16 August 2019: This activity was organized by the Organizing Committee of Orientation Camp, Biomelior for the freshmen of BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme. SBS Teachers were invited to join the BBQ night and campfire session of the orientation camp to welcome the freshmen joining the School.
- Summer Undergraduate Biomedical Research Attachment (SUBRA) 2019 between May and August 2019: Through this in-house program, our BSc Programme students were able to experience biomedical research in a practical environment so as to acquire various laboratory techniques and discover their potential. With the support of 19 SBS principal investigators who served as the research mentors, a total of 18 Year 1 students and 8 Year 2 students participated in this summer research attachment. In addition to various research seminars, participating students took up part of a research project and carried out hands-on experiments under the supervision of their mentors. To complete the attachment, students were invited to deliver poster presentation on their selected research topics on 30 August 2019. With various promotional activities and outreach to prospective students, it is our hope that more high calibre and promising students will get admitted to our BSc Programme.
