田小雨教授領導的研究揭示PPARD調控肺血管內皮細胞屏障功能

(EN)

Vascular hyperpermeability is one of the hallmarks of acute lung injury, contributing to excessive inflammation and respiratory failure. The PPARδ is an anti-inflammatory transcription factor, while its role in endothelial barrier function remains unclear. Prof. Tian Xiaoyu’s research team (first authors: Dr. Hong Huiling, and Dr. Wu Yalan) has uncovered the essential role of PPARδ in maintaining vascular endothelial barrier function in acute lung injury via inhibiting CXCL10-mediated cell-cell junction disruption. Blockage of CXCL10/CXCR3 signaling suppresses vascular hyperpermeability and lung inflammation in acute lung injury.

These findings suggested that PPARδ/CXCL10 signaling could be a potential therapeutic target for vascular injury in acute lung injury.

The research has been published in Circulation Research in March 2025.
