Following the 1st International Symposium on Reproductive Genetics held in December 2013, the National Research Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology and Reproductive Genetics, China and “The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Shandong University (CUHK-SDU) Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics” (the Joint Laboratory) co-organized the 2nd International Symposium on Reproductive Genetics on 17 and 18 May 2014 in Jinan, Shandong Province.
During the Symposium, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of School of Biomedical Sciences and Co-Director of the Joint Laboratory; Prof. Leung Tak Yeung, Chairman & Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK; Prof. Richard Choy, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK and Associate Member of our “Reproduction, Development and Endocrinology” Program served as speakers. The event was well-attended by more than 200 participants.
Through the establishment of the Joint Laboratory, mutual visits and joint academic activities (see previous entries), both parties have been enabled to engage in closer and stronger scholarly connections. It is our hope that such linkages will favor us, through the platform of the Joint Laboratory, in obtaining major local and national funding support, hence facilitating more collaborative and high impact research in the future.
