Miss GU Shen, Year 2 MPhil student under supervision of Prof. Wai-Yee Chan, won the Association of Chinese Geneticists in America (ACGA) Graduate Student Research Poster Award for her poster presentation on “Identification of the regulatory networks of miR-199a-2 in testicular germ cell tumors” given at the 60th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics held in early November 2010.
During the same event, Mr. Cheung Hoi-Hung Albert, a PhD graduate in 2010, was awarded the American Society of Human Genetics Outstanding Trainee Research Travel Award (Semifinalist) and also the ACGA Post-doctoral Research Award for his podium presentation on “Intronic methylation, microRNA and testicular germ cell tumor”.
