Biography
Prof. JIANG Xiaohua (蔣曉華) graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University (currently School of Medicine, Shanghai JiaoTong University), and completed her internship and residency at RuiJin Hospital, Shanghai. She obtained her PhD degree in cell biology at the University of Hong Kong. Prof. JIANG undertook her postdoctoral training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California (USC). During her postgraduate study and postdoctoral training, Prof. JIANG received a number of awards including Li Ka Shing Prize, Dr. KP Stephen Chang Gold Medal, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine fellowship, Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service award, and Edward A Smuckler Memorial Workshop award. In 2013, she joined School of Biomedical Sciences at CUHK as an independent investigator. Her major research interest is in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Prof. JIANG has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, including Nature Medicine, Cell Research, Cell Death and Differentiation, Nature Communication, Theranostics and Stem Cell Reports.
