Apart from meeting the University’s Senior Administration and some research postgraduate students and junior faculty members, the four Panels were divided into different sub-groups and paid visits to selected academic departments and schools / institutes on that day.
The sub-group which visited the School of Biomedical Sciences was comprised of Professor Anne Cooke (Convenor and RGC member), Professors Wing-hung Wong and Rudolf Wu (RGC members) and Professors Kai-nan An, Rudolf Bauer, Chih-chang Chu, David Tuan-hua Ho and Roger H. Reeves (Biology & Medicine Panel members).
During the visit, the sub-group members had a meeting with the School Director, Associate Director (Research), Associate Director (Administration) and the Chiefs of the five Thematic Research Programs, followed with a tour to the Macromolecular and Microarray Core and participation in the poster session where over 30 RGC-funded research projects being undertaken by our School investigators were showcased.
