The SBS Retreat 2015 (the Retreat) was successfully held on 9 May 2015 to discuss the way forward for the School in the next five years and beyond. About 60 academic and teaching staff, administrative staff and representatives from the SBS Postgraduate Student Association participated in the Retreat.
We were honored to have Prof. Francis K.L. Chan, Dean of Medicine, Prof. Paul B.S. Lai, Director of Office of Medical Education, and Prof. Shekhar M. Kumta, Assistant Dean (Education) of Faculty of Medicine, as our guests to share with us their insights on the strategic directions and development of the Faculty as well as the related issues arising from the medical curriculum revamp.
We would like to express our gratitude to all School members who took part in the Retreat and to the colleagues who have contributed significantly for making this event a successful one. Members’ views shared during the Retreat would serve as valuable and useful references when the School formulates its research and educational directions and the related initiatives for moving towards the next level of academic excellence.
