12 Dec 2018
Details:

Coordinated by the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr. Paul M.P. Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) came to the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) during his visit to The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 12 December 2018.

Accompanied by Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, Financial Secretary and the representatives of Financial Secretary’s Office received a brief introduction on the School by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of SBS, upon arrival at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building. It was followed by a guided tour to the Core Laboratories and the Animal Holding Core to learn up-to-date research facilities and the latest research development. The visitors were also arranged to take a look at the Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (iTERM) before departing from SBS for their next stop at the Faculty of Engineering, CUHK.

Innovation and technology has been one of the major initiatives to be strategically promoted and developed by the Government of HKSAR. Through the visit of Financial Secretary, we believe SBS will be regarded as one of the key players in supporting the University’s pursuit of innovation and development of biomedical sciences in Hong Kong.
