With the coordination of the Communications and Public Relations Office (CPRO) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) took part in a workshop on biomedical sciences for local media on 23 February 2019. The workshop was jointly organised by CPRO and Hong Kong Journalists Association (HKJA) with an aim to enhance media’s understanding of new technologies in which CUHK has leading edge.
Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of SBS first gave a sharing session, covering the basic concepts and the latest development of biomedical sciences, regenerative medicine and stem cell technology, etc. A question-and-answer session was followed to facilitate mutual interaction. Afterwards, the participants were guided by Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee, Managing Director of Core Laboratories to tour the Core Laboratories of SBS to learn about our advanced laboratory facilities.
With the continuous efforts in extending media connection, we believe our School’s significant role in supporting CUHK in the pursuit of the cutting-edge technological development will be further strengthened.
