On 20 November, 2024, the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) hosted 18 students from St. Paul’s Co-Educational College for an engaging enhancement program coordinated by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA). The day featured a workshop titled “From Sci-fi to Reality: How Tissue Engineering is Shaping Our Future” by Prof. Michelle Wang Dan, Assistant Professor of SBS and a scientific talk on “The Niche of Biomedical Scientists in Modern Medicine” by Dr. Robert George Jesky, Lecturer. Participants also enjoyed a laboratory tour of the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building, exploring facilities. This initiative aims to deepen students’ understanding of the top undergraduate programmes across different Faculties, including MBChB and Biomedical Sciences in Faculty of Medicine, and to have a taste of university life.
