The SBS Retreat 2024 was successfully convened on 9 August 2024, bringing together over 60 participants, including academic and teaching staff as well as staff members from administrative and functional teams, to explore the future direction of the School.
Throughout the Retreat, attendees engaged actively in focused discussion sessions covering key areas of the School’s development. These included Research (grants, publications, and impact), the Enhancement of Thematic Research Programs (TRPs), and Education and Teaching for both postgraduate and undergraduate programmes.
We extend our sincere thanks to all School members who participated and to those colleagues whose significant contributions helped make the event a success. The insights and perspectives shared during the Retreat will provide valuable guidance as the School shapes its research priorities, educational strategies, and initiatives aimed at advancing to new heights of academic excellence.
